LINGWOOD RAINBOW GUIDES

A WORLD OF FUN AND FRIENDSHIP ON YOUR DOORSTEP

Are you aged 5-7? Do you enjoy games, challenges and making new friends? Then Lingwood Rainbows could be just what you are looking for.

We are part of the Girlguiding UK family with our own exciting programme of activities called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, trying out cooking and playing games. Being a Rainbow is all about learning by doing and its run by trained adult volunteers.

After a short break, the Lingwood Rainbow Unit plans to reopen in January 2014. We meet in the early evening, usually just after school, and we’re flexible as to which evening we choose – hopefully we can find a night that suits everyone who wants to be involved.

We have a great team of adult leaders in the Acle District to support the unit but we also need volunteers willing to help out with Lingwood Rainbows. Parent helpers can supervise games and activities on a rota and a team of volunteers will lead and run the unit. It’s a rewarding way to be part of the community, to provide some great opportunities for girls and to add something a bit different to your own personal CV. Training and support is always on hand and you don’t need to have been a Guide or Brownie yourself to get involved.

If you are interested, either in your daughter joining Rainbows, or in helping with the unit, please ring Tamsin Drake, 01603 714343, or Chris Bond, 01603 270210, or email [email protected]

We’re really looking forward to hearing from you!
